Woodcrest Phase II - Groundbreaking Ceremony:
The Somers Housing Authority recently held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Woodcrest Elderly Housing Phase II Project. Representatives from DECD, CHFA, HUD, Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, Rockville Bank, CHIFand the State Legislature were there to help celebrate this accomplishment.
Woodcrest Phase II is currently under construction with a scheduled completion date of August 1, 2012. This project will add 60 more units of affordable elderly housing to the town of Somers, CT. It brings the total number of affordable senior housing units owned by the Somers Housing Authority to 146.
